Lakers crush the Warriors to secure a spot in the Western Conference finals

LeBron James and the Lakers defeat the Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs.

LeBron James and the Lakers put an end to the Golden State Warriors' reign with a 122-101 victory in Game 6 of the second-round series. It was the Lakers' biggest home victory in over a decade.

After a slow start to the regular season, the Lakers have come out on top to reach the Western Conference finals, with James and Anthony Davis as the primary forces behind their transformation. The Lakers never trailed in their third home victory over Golden State in seven days.

Austin Reaves scored 23 points, and Davis had 17 points and 20 rebounds, while James had 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Stephen Curry made a valiant attempt to bring the Warriors back into the game, but the Lakers pulled away.

The Lakers will face the top-seeded Nuggets in the Western Conference finals starting Tuesday night in Denver.
